We Gotta Be Strong, Just Keep Pushing!

I remember tears streaming down your face when you thought everything was gone, when all those shadows almost killed your light. I remember when you said, "I can't do it anymore, please, help me." I could see it on your eyes, you feel lost and shame, but please don't feel that way. Because all of that will be passed and gone tonight. Just close your eyes, the sun is going down. You will be alright, nothing can hurt you now. Come morning light, you will be safe and sound.

The Filipinos always tend to suffer from lost. Unexpected deaths of our love ones because of natural calamities and also because of unforgivable cruelty of the people. And I've seen a lot of them. I've heard the cry of the people longing for their loved ones. "I want justice!". "I lost my son because of this merciless Maute group" " He was just a little boy." "He's innocent. Why him?" The group has forbid our human rights such as the right to live. Also the wrath of the disasters could take away everything from us. Our homes, properties and includes ourselves.

Countless calamities such as typhoons, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions were once in front of us and left us great amounts of casualties. But we Filipinos couldn't afford to stay silent and do nothing, we cannot give up, because we won't get anything from giving up. Besides, we are getting used to it, time heals everything and we have been tested by that a lot of times ready. Of course we are better than ready. Our spirits to recover could not be defeated by anything. I may be tear down apart, you may break my bones if you want, but I will surely pick up the scattered opportunities to remain strong and firm. I think these words are already planted in every Filipinos' heart, and you can never tore it down because it grows larger and larger, the more problems they take, the more it grows. It feels like their spirits is a superior thing that can be compared to as a great bandage. Whenever they get wounds, there is a pack of bandages ready to heal and cover the wound. They cover the wounds and God heals them. Calamities are just calamities, if they want to come at us, bring it, we're Filipinos, you can't break us, never. Yes, we've faced a lot of disasters and left us great amounts of casualties, but that doesn't say we're broke, in fact, we became stronger and stronger.

It may take a lot of time for rehabilitation, but as long as we don't break, that's enough to be considered as recovered. We can overcome the circumstances because we know we were never alone, together we stand, we will be on each other's side and will take each other's hand. Just like, when it gets cold and it feels like the end, we won't give in. We will keep holding on 'cause we know we'll make it through. We will stay strong because we know there will always be someone for us. Struggles and chances might knock us down, but no, we're not breaking. we gotta be strong. Just keep pushing!

Bring it On!!

Oh my!.... I didn't notice the time was running so fast. Over 2 months of my grade 10 years has already passed, and the first quarter will soon come up to an end. Of course in the first quarter, i had mix of emotions, excitement and stress. Blogging and the internet was one of our lessons in TLE subject, and I think I have problems with it.

I hated blogging once, because I thought blogging was just a way to show off or to show fame. It irritated me thinking that there are a lot of fame whores nowadays. Albert Einstein once said that there will come a time that the world will be occupied by idiots. Well, isn't it happening right now? Since I hated blogging from the past, a thought came to my mind, "In 2020 there will not be a single person without a blog channel." Because thinking of our state, we tend to embrace what is new to the society, we portray bandwagon. I do not say blogging is for idiots, in fact, I learned it; I learned how to appreciate it. I learned how it is useful. I learned what the benefits from it are. I learned that I was wrong about thinking blogging is for idiots. In fact, I made my own blog channel, where I can share my opinions and thoughts about certain things. It was absolutely great! Despite the fun about it, it helped me widen my vocabulary and improve my grammar skills.

Approximately 5-8 hours, I am attached with the internet, daily. Yet, there wasn't a time when i got interested about it. How does it work? How did it start? Are there other Internets? To me, it didn't matter anymore. I just share the beneficiaries through it. But here in Grade 10, we learn everything about it. It gave me chills, though. It was a great experience knowing the facts about it.

Moreover, despite the exciting lessons, of course there were also challenges that need to be overcome. For example is that, regularly, the first lessons of the grading should be done by the teacher, but it was not. Our teacher challenged at already right from the start, that she wanted us to take the first lessons through a reporting discussion. I had no problems with reporting since I am already used to it, but my concern was about my team. How should we do it? The team decided who will take over the different tasks, researching, reporting, encoding and others. The day had come and our report was outstandingly executed, I guess, since we got the attention of everybody during the report. It was a fun experience, though but I knew that there will be incoming harder tasks.

I didn't have many problems at all, since it was fun and exciting. The only thing is that I barely had time to work on my blog because we had a lot of works from the other subjects. Good thing I managed to keep up. Moving on, I will definitely be much ready on the upcoming grading. I wasn't satisfied with my performance this grading so perhaps, I should make it better. No matter what challenges they will be, I will face them and overcome them thoroughly. Bring it on!

Wikang Kinagisnan: Gaano Mo Kamahal?

He is my President! You can't change that!

I believe that every Filipino citizen always gives their reaction when it comes to the State Of the Nation Address  or every presidential speech. They watch, reflect, and react. Thus, if not only for patriotism, when we think for our country, I believe it serves as a sign of our citizenship. Some events in the SONA 2018 were not expected as it should be. The speech was delayed for some time before it actually started.

President Duterte was so aggressive on his war against drugs that he started his speech with this, "The war against illegal drugs is far from over... This is why the illegal drugs war will not be sidelined. Instead, it will be as relentless and chilling, if you will, as on the day it began." This proves his will to eradicate drugs in the country.

Duterte attack the human rights from this statement, " Your concern is human rights, mine is human lives. The lives of our youth are being wasted and families are destroyed, and all because of the chemicals called shabu, cocaine, cannabis, and heroine." This gave different reactions from people. The statement sounded like drug-users are not human lives. Human rights of the Filipinos seemed forsaken.

We all know that President Duterte is admired by everyone for his leadership is extravagant and different from the late Presidents. Duterte serves as the Filipinos' hope, he followed the footprints of the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos. He already stated from his speech, " You worry about the present, I worry about the future." This gives us the hope that our country will be a better country in his administration because we are not the only one dreaming for progression, someone will take the act to acquire this dreams from us.

Yes, rallies and protests were made after the event because of some various reasons, but we cannot forget the achievements President Duterte has done to our country. Let us all wait for prosperity and believe on Duterte's ability on turning the Philippines a great and progressive country. Some may say that he cuss words or he is naive, remember that he will be the man who made everything possible to this country. It does not matter whether he has bad attitudes, as long as he desires to help and has a good vision into this country. I will always lend my hand to him. He is my President, no matter what you say. You cannot change that.
